Occupy Protesters Pepper-sprayed, Again

Today, we have another reported example of the police utilizing excessive force against American citizens who are exercising their Constitutional rights of freedom of speech and peaceably to assemble.

At the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa, Phoenix, Arizona, Occupy Phoenix members were assembled in protest of the American Legislative Exchange Council when they were pepper-sprayed by Phoenix police.

The antagonistic attitude of the Phoenix police toward the Occupy Phoenix protesters is captured solidly in the follow quoted comments:
"Unfortunately, a few anarchists have joined the Occupied movement, and crowds tried to push their way through the police line on to the resort property.  OC spray was deployed twice on aggressive groups, which was effective in stopping their actions."  Sgt. Trent Crump, Phoenix police.
Additional details about the protest are provided in The Arizona Republic article, "Phoenix protesters pepper-sprayed at Westin Kierland Resort."
