Quotation for Today: Tuskegee Airmen

"It's because it's an all-black movie. There's no major white roles in it at all…I showed it to all of them and they said, 'Nooooo. We don't know how to market a move like this.'"
George Lucas

In the quoted comments, George Lucas  --  filmmaker and director of the Star Wars' movies  --  is speaking about the difficulty in producing the movie Red Tails; a story about an all Black, American World War II fighter squadron. The pilots were trained in the Tuskegee Airman program.

The scheduled released date for Red Tails is 20 January, 2012.  Cast includes Terence Howard (Hart's War and Iron Man), Cuba Gooding Jr.(Jerry Maguire and Men of Honor), and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad and Little Miss Sunshine).
